Planting

At JD Landscape Solutions our team members are trained in proper planting practices. We make sure to take the proper steps in providing your new plants the environment they need to thrive. Read below about a few simple tricks we show our team members!

  • Choosing the type of plants you want around your landscape requires many considerations. At JD Landscape Solutions we make sure to consider all of these factors. Some factors we keep in mind are:

    Mature Size/Spacing

    Exposure to Sunlight

    Soil Type

    Water Needs/Drainage

    Color Coordination

    Future Maintenance Required

    Animal Attractiveness

  • One of the most crucial steps in ensuring a plant survives is inspecting the plants you plan to put in the ground. Our team members are trained to look for signs of proper care at the nursery. This includes inspecting the plants’ root systems and checking for any weak growth.

  • When it comes to actually putting the plant in the ground, our teams are very knowledgeable in common planting practices. Some of these practices include:

    1. Dig a hole 2-3 times the diameter of root ball. The hole should be just as deep as the root ball. The top of he root ball should exposed.

    2. Place the plant into the hole and backfill with fresh topsoil. We add soil amendments in all of our plant installations to promote healthy root growth..

    3. It is important to provide your new plants with a deep watering after planting. Our team will follow up with watering instructions upon completion of our job!
