Trimming & Pruning

The terms trimming and pruning are often used interchangeably. To many people’s surprise, these services are performed to achieve different things. Pruning mainly consists of removing dead or infected growth while also cutting away any crossing branches/limbs. Trimming on the other hand is performed to shape overgrown plants to promote healthy, well proportioned growth.

At JD Landscape Solutions, we realize the importance of maintaining our trimming and pruning equipment. Keeping sharpened and sanitized trimming equipment prevents the spread of disease and ensures a clean cut!

  • At JD Landscape Solutions we suggest getting your ornamental shrubs/trees trimmed & pruned in early Spring for the best results. This ensures the best conditions for the shrubs/trees to introduce new growth in a healthy way.

Many clients have us come out in early Fall for a second trimming visit to touch everything up. This allows enough time for the plant’s new growth to harden heading into the Winter season.

  • When it comes to tree trimming/pruning, JD Landscape Solutions services trees up to 35 feet in height.
